Dam good video man question for you can you use the same paint underneath the boat the sides of the boat and top of the boat or is it different type of paint? I don't have any experience sorry I sound stupid.

I paint my ferro boat every year or so with quality acrylic house paint, just to keep it looking tidy, it cost 200 bucks for 10 liters and slap it on in a few hours I do minimal prep just scrape the loose stuff, it looks good from 50 ft away. Ferro hulls are impervious to water the paint is just for decoration really.

I’m glad I stumbled on this video. I needed something to relax my mind after torturing myself trying to put on vinyl striping made by sea choice on my boat. No matter what I did to lay it straight, it would Make kinks and lots of bubbles. Tried a second time with the same result.

Can you do anything like the blending you did there when spraying gel coat ? I've been struggling with halos showing through when spraying color (mostly darker colors, ).

Way too much work. Just sand it and hit it with 3 coats of Cetol and be done. That toe rail alone could take a couple weeks with vanish..

Hi Frankie. The AWLGRIP website (Akzo Nobel) says that none of these products are to be applied "below the waterline". But I see a lot of folks out there (yourself included) using Awlgrip successfully on boat hulls. I'd like to use it to repaint my Crestliner but the OEM guidance to not use below waterline is concerning. What "should" we be using below the waterline? Awesome, informative videos as always!

Pros to time laps is it only seems to take a few minutes to complete, Cons to time laps is it gives the illusion that it only takes a few minutes to complete, That was a ton of work you just completed in just a few minutes of time laps, I'm sure that was hours of strenuous work.
